Penguins of New Zealand

New Zealand is home to four species of penguin:

40,000 pairs of Little (Blue) Penguin (Eudyptula minor)

23,000 pairs of Snares Penguin (Eudyptes robustus)

3,000 pairs of Fiordland Penguin (Eudyptes pachyrhynchus)

2,000 pairs of Yellow-eyed Penguin (Megadyptes antipodes)
